Great looking stick with a nice oily wrapper. The flavors, while fairly mild, were good, with sweet cedar, fruit, and a bit of white pepper, cocoa, and even a bit of cinnamon. The burn, however, was so slow that it kept wanting to go out, and required a few puffs at a time to get a good mouthful of smoke. While, it’s not the most complex smoke, it was good.

Triple-A ball should be fun, and it seems that the Padres have one of the top farm systems in the majors… but Chihuahuas?? I wonder what the players think of being called that, lol. Didn’t Tony design the preliminary website for them?

Thanks, Corey! I was really surprised on how much I enjoyed the Homage. It is a very special cigar for under $10. I am with Jeff on the sticks that have been coming out of General Cigar. Have you had opportunity to smoke the La Gloria Cubana Esteli yet? That is another great stick from General.

Corey, I was just trying to be a nice guy and give Mike the benefit of the doubt, lol. I agree about the big box brands; I have been impressed with the quality of sticks that General has been putting out as of late.

I kid I kid I am long time Partagas smoker from way back they have always treated me well for a big brand cigar. So often we get caught up on the small batch, LE, boutique brands, but I still will enjoy a Partagas now a day. That being said I have never had a Benji blend and I hear great things. Love this review.

As far as I can tell, the Homage is unrelated to the Benji Master Series. I have not had an opportunity to smoke the Master Series but Tony said it was an excellent stick as well.
