Good review! Getting to the finish of this stick as we speak. Enjoyable smoke but as you said, nothing that really jumps out at you. Great burn, even the whole way through. Paired it with a Stone Enjoy By 2.14.16 Black IPA. Sharpness of the hops contrasted well with the smoke.

Thanks Tony for the great review. I was thinking of purchasing a five pack but I think now I’ll pass on it. I’m a big fan of the MIami and Dominus line but I have hot had much luck with most of the rest of their line up.

I too was really looking forward to this smoke. I’m a huge padilla fan, and Aganorsa tobacco has never let me down. This one however fell flat for me too. The flavor profile other than the first inch of spice wasn’t one that i enjoy. I got the same grass/burnt paper notes. I’m hoping they’re just young, because the smoke looks and burns perfect. I’ll stick to all his other stuff and hope these get better by next spring or summer.

Man great looking package…. I really liked the Dominus…. My issue with Padilla, is when they are on they are awesome…. but so many misfires…. Never really seem them locally here…. Guess I need to look harder..

In reply to jjo. Exactly, and to be honest, it's been one of the very few Padilla's that have disappointed me. Again, it's purely subjective, and I don't claim to be the end all for cigars, but I too longed for something more.

Tony, I had my second one last night. Like you, I was expecting so much from this cigar and it has just fallen short. The density of the smoke ramped up after the first third, but I was still expecting more flavor elements. The first one I had about a month ago didn’t want to burn very well, and while this one was better, it still wanted to go out on me. I’ll let them rest for another few months before trying again. I was looking forward to this one after really enjoying the La Terazza Maduro, but it turned out to be the first Padilla I’ve had that disappointed me. Not terrible, but so far, kind of ho-hum. :p
