Thanks for the comment, I definitely agree that Oliva makes some tasty and consistent cigars, there’s always a few of them in my humidor.
As for Tony, I’ve been trying to entice him into making a trip Northbound, maybe one day he’ll cave in and jump on a plane!

i don’t think i’ve ever had a bad cigar from Oliva. they are great tobacco farmers and top notch producers of cigars. i’m working on a box of Cain Maduros at the moment…….excellent smokes for after a good meal. the connecticut blend by oliva is another great cigar and like Daniel said it pairs up nice in the morning with a cup of coffee.
i’m looking forward to sharing a smoke with Daniel later this month, i’m waiting to hear his reply. i’m hoping he’ll smoke a cigar for a review. i’ll keep you all posted if he’s coming to
my “Cigar be que” this month. if he doesn’t make it, i might have to fly Tony C all the way up here!!.

Thanks Jay, I have the same feeling about the Olivas. Although there definitely are some interesting new competitors in the Connie market like the MoW Virtue and the EPC New Wave Connie. Bot hare good but it seems the Oliva holds a special place in the humi for a lot of people.

As for my tags, didn’t you hear? “Tony the Tiger” is being replaced by ‘Tony the Slacker” as the new kids idol and role model!

Good review ! Oliva Connecticut is one of my favorite Connecticut cigars. When I think of a morning cigar and pairing with coffee, I think of Oliva Connecticut. I get very similar flavors.

PS. ‘Tony The Slacker’ tag ? Hmmm 🙂
