Glad you got to really enjoy one of these, your first experience was definitely not in line with what I’ve experienced on the Declarations!
Not sure about another video review yet, I’ve gotta sort out all my gear and figure out a good setup, haven’t had the time to do that in awhile. Maybe sometime in the future.

So I waited another six weeks, and this one is a complete turnaround. Smoking beautifully, no problems at all, with great flavors, although a bit spicier than I was anticipating. These obviously came to me overly humidified. so I would certainly buy these again.

And yeah, I think you should do another video review. Perhaps stretched out over a month so that we can see a time-lapse of your new Mo-stache! You could always edit in a shot of the clean shaven lip. You should also get Tony to join in. I know he’s camera-shy, but I’d like to see the banter between the two of you.

Sorry to hear that jjo! I’ve had quite a few of these and never ran into any burn issues. If any more of them act that way I would send Brad Mayo an email. He’s a really nice guy and may set it straight. You can see from the video that I didn’t have any real problems with it.
I almost forgot about this video, maybe I need to make an attempt at another one sometime in the future?

Leaving it alone for less than a minute would allow it to go out completely. Very frustrating. After relighting for the fourth or fifth time, I had to give it up with two inches left. I hope the rest of the ones I have aren’t all going to be like this, because the flavors promised to be very nice.

Tip if you want to do a full writeup with the video:

I usually use Google Wave to do my writeup as I am doing my video. In between takes I just write up for the previous third using my notes and what I am getting from the one I am smoking. Just seems to make it go easier than writing notes then trying to do the writeup at the end.

That way the people who don’t have time for the entire video can get a better idea of your opinion on the cigar. Your notes have bits and pieces of how you felt about it, but I think a more concise summary of your opinion at the end of the written notes would be a good touch. Just my two cents.
