You writing is much more complex and interesting than your taste judgement:why cant anyone just say, “Cohibas are for satus fucking posseurs who sincerely enjoy grassy/green tasting ball-less mediocre cubans”. Fidel laughs his ass off at you clowns paying up for style over substance. The EL Chba DC’s are extraordinary otherwise any Monty 5 dark Spanish Market kicks the ass of el entero linea da commonmeira Cohibas! 🙂

HAHA! aww.. you’ll get your hands on them I have faith.

The saltyness is actually picked up from the wrapper leaf on the cap. Kinda like the sweetened caps on infused cigars. I picked up the same saltyness on a few Monte’s, a RYJ, Cohiba, and Partagas. All Cuban. It’s not bitter or even offputting. It’s just VERY different then what I am used to 🙂

PS: JR had a bad experience with a vendor… 🙁

@DownInFlames – How do you LOSE a box of Cohiba Behike’s?!?!?!!!

@Tony – I’ve had 2 small cuban cigars in my life – just can’t find them in the States. I don’t remember them being salty, but I’ve heard other people say that too. Not sure how you pick that particular flavor out, as well. Hmmm. That said, with the economy, I can’t justify spending $30-$90 for a single cigar. So I will have to be jealous, and live vicariously through your awesome review!

I have smoked the 54’s and they are great, also. I lost my box of 56’s but maybe will pick them up again when they are available. I have tried the Gran Reserva and while it is an awesome stick, a very close runner is the Siglo VI for a fraction of the price. I have two more Gran Reserva’s and will probably smoke one Christmas and the other at my daughter’s wedding next March. I think the 52 might be the best of the 3 Behike’s, but I’ve only had 2 of the 3 sizes I’ll be looking forward to your take on the Mad’s (Magico is my fav size there, too, but haven’t tried the smaller Secretos) 🙂 You can bet I’ll be trying it soon.

Damn…. Awesome review. Sweet looking smoke and band. I would have a hard time smoking that for the price. But again how many people can actually say they have smoked one of these? Impressive…. Most Impressive. Top notch as usual!

Maybe I will have one when I graduate in a month or so. But I dont know. I got mine in England at a Davidoff shop, so I payed out the ass for them. Hard to bring myself to smoke something that expensive. I dont know when I will ever smoke my Gran Reserva. Maybe when my first kid is born. Or when that fictional kid has a kid or something.

Nice review. I have a two of each size laying around, but I probably wont be smoking them anytime soon. Especially the 56. That thing is just HUGE!!! From what I hear, the 52 is the best of the line.

First of all, you know this is coming, I hate you. Seriously, a Behike man? Awesome! You know I am a huge Cohiba fan, and every review including yours make me want to smoke a box of these non-stop. Second, the saltiness comes from the thighs of the virgins they were rolled on. Sometimes a tighter draw helps to force you to slow down and let the cigar come to you instead of rushing through it. I am jealous. Nice review Tony!
